Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000

For sale, this original Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000.

This watch is in good working condition and is running well; however, as with most vintage timepieces a service may be required. The water resistance of this watch is not tested or guaranteed. The watch is fitted with a 23 jewel Omega automatic movement calibre number 1012. The watch is a reference number CD 166.0128. It has a central sweep-second hand and a date function. The gold cap on the watch is in good condition and shows no signs of wearing through.

The watch is 14K yellow gold capped has a new leather strap fitted (please note, this is a non-omega strap).

The dimensions of the watch are as follows:

· End of top lug to end of bottom lug is 45.5mm.

· Diameter of case excluding the crown is 38.5mm.

· The watch is 20mm between the lugs. I.e. a 20mm strap fits it.

The crown is the original Omega crown.

“Launched in 1972, the automatic Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 was characterised both by the exclusive watertight system of large gaskets insuring and absolute water-resistance down to 60 meters and by the originality of the method to fasten the movement in the case: the movement is held in a separate “container” maintained by an O-ring gasket on the inner side of the separate case middle. The mineral crystal and the case back are also set into a special water-resistant synthetic sleeve”
