Up for sale is an all original Omega Seamaster De Ville from mid 1960's. The cream coloured dial has patina and some light scratches, with a steel Omega logo and script emblem and a scatter of tiny corrosion spots that make it seem to sparkle.
It has faceted wedge steel hour markers. The baton hands are in fine condition, with some wear visible upon close inspection. The steel framed window at 3 oclock displays the date, which can be semi quick-set by first turning the hands through midnight so the date changes, then immediately turning the hands backwards to 21:00 and then forward through midnight again. Repeat as necessary.
The stainless steel bezel is in fine condition with only light overall wear, perhaps most pronounced at around 7. The stainless steel monococ case with the Omega crown and elegant, straight lugs, is in good condition. The stainless steel case back is in good condition, with a crisp and clean hippocampus logo and just a few marks and scratches. It carries the inscription Waterproof. Please note the engraving to the case back.
The watch comes on an after market leather strap of good quality.
The watch was fully serviced in March 2021 and all functions are working properly.
This is a watch that goes well with both formal and more casual occasions and it will serve you well for many years to come.
Yours sincerely,
CTVW
