Signed and inscribed to Tom Ernst by Goldblatt to the half title and dated March 1975. 7 page introductory essay by the South African Nobel laureate Nadine Gordimer, followed by Hasselblat award winning photographer Goldblatts haunting images of the mines and miners of the Witwatersrand. On the Mines was Goldblatts first photobook.

Very good in Very good - jacket. Spine corner slightly bumped and rubbed. Light browning to endpapers. Jacket with a few creases and chips to edges.
