Product OverviewThe 74VHC541MTC is an advanced high-speed CMOS octal Buffer/Line Driver with3-state outputs. It is fabricated with silicon gate CMOS technology. It achievesthe high-speed operation similar to equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL whilemaintaining the CMOS low power dissipation. The VHC541 is an octal buffer/linedriver designed to be employed as memory and address drivers, clock drivers andbus oriented transmitter/receivers. This device is similar in function to theVHC244 while providing flow-through architecture. This pin-out arrangement makesthis device especially useful as an output port for microprocessors, allowingease of layout and greater PC board density. An input protection circuit insuresthat 0 to 7V can be applied to the input pins without regard to the supplyvoltage. This device can be used to interface 5 to 3V systems and two supplysystems such as battery back-up.
