The device is identical in pin-out to the LS393 device. Its inputs arecompatible with standard CMOS outputs with pull-up resistors and it iscompatible with LSTTL outputs. This device consists of two independent 4bitbinary ripple counters with parallel outputs from each counter stage. A ÷ 256counter can be obtained by cascading two binary counters Internal flip-flops aretriggered by high-to-low transitions of clock input. Reset for counters isasynchronous and active-high. State changes of Q outputs do not occursimultaneously because of internal ripple delays.
