Product OverviewThe MM74HC540WM is an inverting octal 3-state Buffer utilizes advancedsilicon-gate CMOS technology. It possesses high drive current outputs whichenable high speed operation even when driving large bus capacitances. Thiscircuit achieves speeds comparable to low power Schottky devices, whileretaining the advantage of CMOS circuitry, high noise immunity and low powerconsumption. The device has a fan-out of 15 LS-TTL equivalent inputs. The3-state control gate operates as a two-input NOR such that if either G1 or G2are HIGH, all eight outputs are in the high-impedance state. In order to enhancePC board layout, the MM74HC540 offers a pin-out having inputs and outputs.
