Unleash the power of flexible printing — without the usual hassle. TPU for AMS from Bambu Lab is specially formulated to work seamlessly with the AMS (Automatic Material System) and AMS Lite systems. It enables multi-colour TPU printing, faster print speeds, and cleaner results — perfect for creators wanting to mix flexibility, vibrancy, and ease.
Product Features:
AMS / AMS Lite Compatibility
TPU for AMS is optimized to flow reliably through the AMS system, enabling true multi-colour TPU printing without the typical feeding issues.
High Performance, Low Stringing
Its blend delivers reduced stringing, so fine details and clean edges are easier to achieve.
Speed Boost
Compared to Bambu's standard TPU 95A HF, this filament can achieve up to 60% faster printable speeds — improving efficiency without sacrificing quality.
Balanced Toughness & Flexibility
With a Shore rating of 68D, TPU for AMS offers a sturdier feel than ultra-soft TPUs, yet retains enough flex for many practical applications.
Available in Various Colours
Choose from multiple vibrant options (Blue, Red, Yellow, Neon Green, White, Gray, Black) — perfect for colourful, flexible designs.
Built-In RFID Profiling
The spool includes RFID-encoded printing parameters so the printer can automatically detect and apply optimal settings.
Premium Spool & Packaging
Delivered on a high-temperature reusable spool, with desiccant packaging to preserve filament dryness.

TPU for AMS is ideal for projects that require flexibility, impact resistance, and colour variation:
Usage Tips & Best Practices:
Dry before printing
TPU is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture). Dry at ~70 °C for ~8 hours before use. Store spools sealed with desiccants.
Avoid ultra-small nozzles
Do not use 0.2 mm nozzles — these are prone to clogging with TPU for AMS.
Use proper bed adhesion
Use glue stick, hairspray, or a "glue + PEI plate" combo to help prints stay firmly adhered.
Control retraction, speed & acceleration
TPU requires cautious tuning: lower retraction distance, slower speeds. TPU for AMS permits faster speeds than many flexible filaments, but still less aggressive than rigid materials.
Match settings
Use or create a dedicated print profile. Because of RFID, many settings may auto-load — verify parameters before printing.
Combine with rigid materials cautiously
If embedding PLA, PETG, etc., ensure interlock / mechanical anchoring; some users report adhesion between TPU for AMS and PETG or PLA layers can be modest.
Perform test prints
Start small — test bridges, overhangs, stringing — before committing to large models.
