1880 style oriental gentleman's time peice. The oddities of this watch is that the hours are indicated by arabic numerals on the dial, yet appear as Roman numerals when the cas is closed. This combination of numerals symbolises the lively, new approach to things in the 19th century. The 'Oriental' effect is a reflection of the union between East and West. The back of the 'Oriental' case is covered with raised floral motifs.
