43 by 39 cm. In a gilt frame. Wonderful study of street life on Somerset Road Greenpoint Cape Town South Africa in 1853, by the master Thomas Bowler. What makes this special is that this is an ORIGINAL 1853 VICTORIAN ENGRAVING. See the wonderful stipple effect in close up, so much better than the later cheap lithographic prints. Printed in black with the addition of one tint.

The following words are printed at the base of the print. T.W. Bowler, del. SCOTTISH CHURCH, CAPE TOWN, Day&Son, Lithrs to The Queen. The Profits arising form the Sale of this Print will be devoted to the Mission and Schools connected with the Scottish Church, Cape Town.

Secure packaging and tracked postage is R70. Or pick it up in Cape Town.

We also have a gallery at Treasure House Books and Art in Franschhoek, and you can pick it up there too where it on display in our gallery.
