ORIGINAL 1960'S TINKERTOY CONSTRUCTION SET NO 146
The 1960's No 146 set from the Toy Tinkers Company, Evaston, Illinois, USA , original makers of the Tinkertoy sets. The company, founded by Charles Pajeau and Robert Petit began making it's Tinkertoy wooden construction sets in 1914. Other toys followed in the ensuing years, however, the Tinkertoy proved to be the company's biggest seller and by 1941 only sold the sets. This large set still in the original cardboard tube with tin lid. Age and play worn.
