One side of the card has two prints of Cape flowers with hand colouring. These are by Barnard. Images size is 9.8 x 13.2cm. To the verso is a small photograph (6 x 9.8cm) of The Great Comet of 1882, probably taken by Dr. David Gill, Astronomer Royal at the Observatory in Cape Town. Includes an article from the Cape Times of 26 October 1882, which lays out Mr W. H. Findlay's discovery of the Comet at the Royal Observatory in Cape Town. Condition: Good.
