Original A.M. Green Mountain Landscape – Oil on Canvas Board

This is an authentic, mid-20th-century original oil painting by the landscape artist, A.M. Green. The artwork beautifully captures a traditional mountain pass, featuring a rocky riverbed running through a sunlit valley toward distant mountain peaks. Painted in a soft, naturalistic style heavily inspired by the classic masters of regional art, this piece showcases excellent texture with a visible canvas weave. The painting is clearly signed by the artist in cursive script in the bottom right corner.

The piece is executed on a rigid canvas board and is housed in its original, wide, mid-century wooden frame, bringing the total dimensions to approximately 45cm x 56cm. It features an authentic aged, oxidized hardboard backing with vintage metal framing points and hanging wire intact. While the backing board shows a historic moisture stain common with vintage art, the front oil surface remains beautifully preserved and ready to display. This charming regional landscape offers an excellent investment for collectors of traditional landscape art or a perfect decorative accent for a classic country-style home.
