On receiving this picture it was said that the person on this picture is Veldkornet A.J. Pretorius of the Kroonstad Kommando. I did some follow up and there was indeed such a person in Kroonstad Kommando during the war.
Picture measures 10cm x 15cm. it is age faded but all detail can still be seen. The picture is damaged (please see picture and judge for yourself.) there are gluestains on the back.
on the front bottom part of the picture the name LUND BROS KROONSTAD O.F. STATE is printed. The lund brothers were well known photographers in Kroonstad during the turn of the century.
