Charles and Ray Eames designed the Eames Chaise in 1968 after director Billy Wilder told them he needed an office couch where he could take catnaps while filming on location. 

The Chaise is still made today by Herman Miller and Vitra. This one, in black leather, is in good, almost new condition with a couple of small chips on the steel base. It has two loose cushions for neck and leg support.
