OIL ON BOARD CANVAS PAINTING,  FRAMING SECOND HAND. BEAUTIFUL PAINTING, CAN BE SOUTH AFRICAN,  THE SETTING CERTAINLY LOOKS SOUTH AFRICAN. THIS PAINTING WAS SOLD ON BID OR BUY BEFORE AND YOU CAN GOOGLE THE PAINTING.  THE PREVIOUS OWNER WROTE THE FOLLOWING ON  THE PAINTING

"I found another Orsmond on BoB and contacted the seller. She said her painting had been owned by her grandparents and that she thought Orsmond was an immigrant who arrived in SA in the 20s. I'm afraid I have not been able to find out anything else about the artist. This painting is signed J H Orsmond and dated 1960 - could perhaps be 1966, as you can see from the pics the last digit could be a 0 or a 6.."

The painting is in lovely condition, rich, bright and clean. The frame is not as good, with some scratches, but it is still perfectly serviceable."
