As a rule, a decal in a M40  was on the left side of the helmet (Corps Identification), but some M40 helmets have 2 decals and others with no decals

The skirt is marked "ET64" indicating the manufacturer Eisenhuttenwerke Thale with a shell size of 64
The skirt also has a stamped lot no of 1419
Leather suspension liner and chin strap

Condition
Condition has wear consistent with age and field wear, with some oxidation  and scratches to the deals
Minor fatigue to the leather elements
