I have included some pictures of the inside and the back which show how the cover is lifted up with the elastic strap the velcro fastening is un hooked to show the zip mechanism and access to the bag, inside there is a seperate compartment on the side. On the back you can see the very high quality ring hooks for the shoulder strap and the strap itself has very sturdy metal clips. This bag is built for action, it is not going to give way in rough terrain and safaris. There is a further pouch on the front also closed with a velcro fastening and inside there are two 'netted' compartments for digital cards etc.
