Original Post-WWII BRITISH No.9 Mk1 Socket Bayonet with metal Scabbard - ROF POOLE 1948.
Complete as shown on pictures with clear markings and serial/batch numbers and dated.
The blade, Socket locking catch and Scabbard are intact and free of severe pitting or damage.
"G5" - official military assembly/batch code assigned to Royal Ordency Factory (ROF) POOLE during its production run.
"P" - inside a circle stands for POOLE, confirming the Factory of origin.
"96" stamp - this is an inspectors certificate stamp/part on a batch manufacturing proof mark commonly stamped on the curved arm of the Socket.
"Serface condition" - metal shows minimal pitting and retaining a clean clear finish, for this alone it's highly appealing.
