ARTIST: LOUIS PRETORIUS

Louis Pretorius was born in Middelburg in the Karoo and grew up in Cape Town. He became a teacher in 1966 and started his art in 1971.
For more than 30 years he has had many exhibitions in South Africa and since 1990 resides in Melkbosstrand, South Africa.
Louis has always found soul food in being creative - especially painting, which inspiration was strengthened when he spent some time to tour Europe and the Greek islands. Spending time in the museums and art galleries contributed to this ambition. He loves painting landscapes and is concerned with Man's abuse of Our World, so endeavours to capture the beauty of nature through his paintings. 
Louis insight and passion for art is evident in his unique artworks which bring warmth, depth and beauty into a room with this still life.
