Original Oil on Canvas laid on board

On offer this beautifully executed landscape of two figures in the foreground, a house and majestic mountains in the background. I suspect that this painting is quite old, yet still in very good condition, just a small spot in the sky area where the base paint is coming through and some fly spots that can be removed. The frame is an ornate molded frame, a few cracks in the moldings as often happens, and a small piece of molding missing, see last pic. It is signed by the artist, unfortunately hard to read, but I would not be surprised if this artist is successful, well known and listed as this painting is exceptionally well painted, displaying a lot of skill. It measures 44x38cm (with frame) and 28x22cm (painting only).
