The Artist – Nicky van Rensburg

Nicky is 28 years old and has been a full time artist for the last 9 years. He lives and works in Pretoria. He has lived his passion since his school years. He paints an “Ethnic Africa” using the name “Tula Pula” – this is a bushveld, sunset scene, with silhouettes of large trees and wildlife, with an ethnic touch. This style is very popular with overseas clients.
His first landscapes were done using the name “LaWaai”. At the moment he paints, using his own name – a very colorful scene, originally with a very strong Tuscan influence, but it developed into a South African landscape.
He’s an understudy of his dad, the well known, Nic van Rensburg and also attending art classes to improve techniques and compositions.
Because he is still developing, his art grows with enormous strides. At a very
early age he developed his own style with great success, this makes his art
exclusive and in great demand at the right price.
