Here on auction we have an original and scarce/ rarely seen SADF type SWA/Angola bushwar era issue 2 piece plastic canister for WHITE smoke grenade dated 1987.
Ammo type manly used for and intended to provide a local smoke-screen eg. to use in an ambush situation to break contact (instead of the usually used white phosphorous grenades aka Wllle-Pete). WP would invariably always also set the bush on fire esp. in the dry season (winter) so white smoke was a better alternative in most circumstances.
