DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	An original water colour painting of a beautiful fantasy landscape with a waterfall and birds (peacocks and egrets) in the foreground. The painting is signed 'Irena Rakovska' and is inscribed on the back with the date '2002'. The artist is apparently South African - probably of Polish descent) since the artwork is inscribed to South Africans on the back). It is done on artist's water colour paper and the artist seems to also have used other media in the painting (acrylic paint and colour crayon). It is framed in a thin wooden frame with gilding and the work has been very attractively mounted and is protected by glass. The artist's signature appears in the bottom right corner. The painting is in horizontal format and of medium size with outer measurement 52 x 54 cm and measurement of the artwork alone 29 x 43 cm.
CONDITION	Both the artwork and frame are in very good condition. There is no loss or fading of paint on the artwork and the colours are bright and unfaded. The frame is is also unchipped and shows no loss of the gilt. This painting is totally sound and clean and can be hung straight away.

A really beautiful, well executed and colourful painting with a lovely touch of fantasy.
