Description: Original water colour 'Woman outside a Country Homestead' R.W.Fielder Ref. AR15
Artist: R.W. Fielder (possibly Richard William)
Date: Estimated around 1900.
History: Very little information is to be found on this elusive artist. He evidently owned, or was part of the family who owned 'The Central Drapery, Clothing and Boot Store' in High Street, Dorking, Surrey. A number of his works do appear from time to time but I can find no records of his life, birth or death.
Marks/Observations: A water colour depicting a typical 'Country Homestead with the figure of a woman outside', very well executed, and with fine detail.
Condition: In good overall condition, old mount, some foxing, strong vibrant colours, signature on right.
Dimensions: The mount size 30cm x 35.5 cm, the circular painting measuring 17.5cm.
Price: R550.00
