This is a beautiful and professionally painted scene of three traditional South African huts in a clearing between some Blue Gum trees.
It is very much in the South African style, both in subject matter and in style of execution, as typified by watercolourists such as Sydney Carter and Douglas Treasure.
The painting is signed, but the signature is indistinct. Perhaps you know who it is? Could be initials L.M. See closeup above.
The frame is 51 cm x 41 cm and the painting itself is 35 x 24 cm.
The painting is excellent, bright, unfaded condition. The double chocolate and white mount is in excellent condition. The frame has a couple of points of wear but is overall in very good condition.
Secure packaging and tracked postage is only R50.
Or you can pick it up for no extra charge.
