ORIGINAL WW II Union Defence Force Railways & Harbours Brigade Shunters/Signal Lamp.  A magnificent and very scarce item that remains in very good condition.  Lense still perfect and still has original candle in place.  This lamp was used in North Africa at the advanced railheads and in areas where black-out measures were compulsory.  The lamp in equipped with the mandatory hinged Black-out Filter to cover the lens.  Makers marks include the Military Arrow with the words T.E. Bladon & Son Ltd, Birmingham, 1942.  A small very minor dent just below the manufacturers marks.  Has seen plenty of service but is solid and of sturdy construction.  Some minor surface rust at the top vents. The lamp stands 200mm high and is 120mm at the widest point.  A true collectors item.
