This canteen comes complete with original cover, black leather webbing, aluminium drinking cup and the short rear strap hanging system for attaching to the equipment belt or bread bag.

The Canteen are marked RKW 43 and 24B on the straps. The bottle might have some marks on but we have not removed the cover to inspect.

The cover is in used condition with the some wear patterns and stains typical of service use. The studs are rusted as well as the buckle. The leather at the buckle has wear down by age and are half loose. Please see the pictures.

It features 3 PRYM press studs and a riveted on steel stud to the bottom for securing the black leather carrying strap and harness.

The attached screw cap is maker marked though not dated.

The canteen comes complete with a standard issue aluminium drinking cup which is marked, The mark are not clearly visible, See Photo’s.

There is a name hand engraved on the canteen but is not clear, most likely from the soldier
