These sophisticated grape shears are a must for the cultured grape eater!
They are 15 cm long and 6 cm wide at the base.
They are for shearing the small stem sections of bunches of grapes for eating. You are supposed to grip the stem of the grape or grapes in the scissor part and pull gently away from the bunch!
In Victorian times it was considered rude to grope the grapes with your hand and rip them off the bunch. Come to think of it, this is often untidy and inconvenient.
Using these shears was and is a lot more stylish.
I have tested them and they test positive for silver. There are no patches of wear on the plate. Excellent condition .
