Description of artwork
Unlike many of the scenes in charcoal or pastel Otto Klar used Conté, also known as Conté sticks or Conté crayons to create these works. Conté is a drawing medium composed of compressed powdered graphite or charcoal mixed with a wax or a clay base.
These two works depict a Venda village in Limpopo. The works are in good condition, nicely framed and ready to hang.
Each work is signed by the artist (“Otto Klar”) at bottom corner.
