Description:
Otto Klar did a number of landscapes and drawings depicting rural scenes in South Africa. Amongst his more popular subjects were the coastal cottages of the Cape and the Pondo dwellings in the Limpopo. This work depicts two Cape Cottages.
The work is in good condition and framed ready to hang. The drawing is signed by the artist (“Otto Klar”) at bottom left corner.

A number of similar works have been sold by Stephen Welz auctioneers with prices ranging from R3500.00 - R5 500.00 (works sold in Nov.2007). A smaller example was sold more recently for R3000.00 (excluding commission) in February 2017.
