Description:

Otto Klar did a number of charcoal landscapes and drawings depicting rural scenes in South Africa.  The work depicts a number of trees in a landscape.  The drawing is in good condition, well framed and ready to hang.  The drawing is signed by the artist (“Otto Klar”) at bottom left corner.

Unique feature:

The drawing was presented as a gift by the late State President's wife, Marike de Klerk, to Cecile (who is believed to have been a friend of Mrs. de Klerk in Pretoria).  The third image taken from the back of the frame is embossed with the South African Government coat of arms and a note from Mrs. de Klerk to Cecile.
