Ottoman/Balkan Miquelet Lock Pistol (c. 1780 to 1830)

Antique Ottoman/Balkan Miquelet flintlock pistol (c. ) research-based attribution. Based on my own research and comparison with documented examples, this pistol appears consistent with Ottoman or Balkan Miquelet pistols from around 1780 to 1830. It measures approximately 35 centimeters overall. Features include an external Miquelet lock, curved birds-head grip, decorative brass or copper butt cap, engraved metal fittings, and square fasteners that appear hand-made. I have not cleaned, polished, restored, repaired, or disassembled it, and have not removed the barrel or lock to look for hidden marks. Proof or makers marks may exist but are unverified. The ramrod is missing. Condition is as shown in the photos, with age wear and patina. I am reasonably confident in the above attribution. However, I am not an antique firearms specialist and cannot guarantee age, origin, or authenticity.
