Outeniqua yellowwood Bonsai Seed

Podocarpus falcatus Seeds

Family: Podocarpaceae (yellowwood family)
Common names: Outeniqua yellowwood, Outeniekwageelhout (Afrikaans) mogôbagôba (Northern Sotho), umSonti Zulu).

This fast-growing, yellowwood with its elegant shape is certainly a tree for all seasons. It is an excellent container plant and can also be used as an indoor tree or bonsai specimen.

The new flush of bluish-grey leaves in spring contrast beautifully against the older, dark green, mature leaves.

The bark is interesting, being smooth and ridged on younger stems and peeling off in flakes on the older trees.

The leaves are arranged spirally, with parallel veins and smooth margins. The leaf tip is sharply pointed.

The bid is for 1 seed

We'll supply you with all the germination and care instructions as well as loads of info with just about everything you need to know about the art of bonsai.
