Ovulation Midstream Test Pens
David LH Ovulation Test Pens are fast and easy-to-use. The test pens are used by dipping them directly into the flow of urine. This makes them easy to use anywhere as no collection of urine is needed. Results are ready in less than 3 minutes.
It is a qualitative test that can predict when there is a LH (luteinizing hormone) surge and in turn when you are likely to ovulate. The sensitivity range for detecting the LH surge on the David test pens is 25mIU/ml giving you time in advance to predict your ovulation day. Each test pen comes sealed in a protective foil pouch with moisture absorbent desiccant packet inside. Clear instructions are on the pouch. For more information and detailed instructions, a package insert is included in your order. These tests are FDA approved. By them in packs of 5, 10 or 15.
WHEN TO BEGIN TESTING
First you must determine the length of your menstrual cycle. This is the number of days from the first day of your period to the day before your next period begins again. Use the chart on the package insert (received with your order) to determine the day of your cycle you can start testing. If your cycle is shorter than 21 days or longer than 38 days, consult your doctor. If you do not know your cycle length, you may begin the test 11 days after your first period since the average cycle length is 28 days. Perform 1 test each day over a 5 day period or until the LH surge has been detected. 10 Tests may be required until you have established your ovulation date.
1. Do not use first morning urine samples as LH is synthesized in your body early in the morning. It will not show up in your urine until later in the day.
2. The best time to collect your urine is between 10am-8pm.
3. Test at about the same time each day.
4. Reduce liquid intake about 2 hours before testing as a diluted urine can prevent the test from detecting LH surge.
