This stunning owl is signed underneath by the ceramicist who made him. G. Cassin, I was informed, stands for Georges Cassin, who allegedly was related to Louis Dage and whom he worked for in the 1920’s. I have not tried to research or verify any of this. Louis Dage’s had his studio in Paris, and is renown for his deco designs and Art Pottery (“Ceramique Francaises”) but also worked in other mediums. This wise old owl stands 27.5cm tall, and is free of cracks, chips and restoration. Please add R48 for postage.
