Pachypodium geayi Seeds Pachypodium is a plant genus that belongs to the family, Apocynaceae. Pachypodium comes from Greek pachy (thick) and podium (foot), hence meaning thick-footed. Pachypodium geayi is very similar to Pachypodium lamerei the except leaves are a darker blue-green and have a light gray fine hair covering them. The leaves have light pink to red veins that produce a purple leaf appearance.
