Pachypodium is a genus of succulent spine-bearing trees and shrubs, native to Africa. It belongs to the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. Pachypodium saundersii, the Kudu Lily, is a succulent plant belonging to the Apocynaceae family. It is found naturally in Southern Africa, on the Lebombo Mountains and other areas in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Swaziland. The fastest growing of all pachypodiums and an excellent bonsai subject.
