PackRat gaiters

There are some who can walk through the bush and not be bothered by grass seeds, thorns and stickles. To be honest, we aren't that lucky, there are times when I have felt like setting fire to my socks in some form of revenge for the irritation they have been causing me all day. Either you need to walk in long pants or you need gaiters (or leggings). We have found a local manufacturer of gaiters that we think are pretty impressive. These gaiters are made from canvas (so they are tough enough) but are lined for comfort. They zip up and have an elastic drawstring at the top that allows you to adjust for your own comfort and there is reinforcing at the heel and the front and double-stitching at all stress points. There are two hooks to catch on your laces. We were pleased to find they were not particularly noisy when walking either, a nice balance between strength and comfort.

Sizing: These are made to order, we need your calf measurement please - the width around the widest part of your calf muscle. Just mentionthe measurement in the "special instructions" section when you make your order. You don't need to allow for socks etc., the manufacturer allows for socks and pants when he makes them up. Also as they are made to order we need a few days to make them up please.
