Paddy Kearney, A Prophet for our Times

Paddy Kearneys lifelong dedication to his work until his passing, serves as a poignant reminder of the universal call for individuals to embody prophetic roles in their own times and circumstances.

This book, Paddy Kearney, A Prophet for our Times, is a condensed version of a PhD dissertation approved by the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) in 2023.

Although there will be many biographical elements, this is not a detailed chronological life of Paddy (nor a history of the organisations, Diakonia or the Denis Hurley Centre). Instead, it draws on those elements of Paddys life which the author believes are inspiring and which tie in with the theological themes that dominate his life: this is Biography as Theology.
