Padre Pio (St. Pio of Pietreclina)
Padre Pio was very devout even as a child, he became a Capuchin novice at the age of 16. In 1910 he was Ordained to the faith after only seven years of study. In 1918 Padre Pio was kneeling in front of a crucifix when he was given the visible marks of the Crucifixion, making him the first stigmatized priest of the church. In 1968 when Padre Pio died the marks of the stigmata were completely healed and no long visible, no scarring or marks of any kind were left behind. Padre Pio had predicted 50 yrs prior to his death that when he died the marks of the stigmata would disappear. Padre Pio also receive the gift of bilocation ( the ability for a physical body whether human , or object to be in two locations at once, Christ states that this is true in every Eucharistic host wherever located). Padre Pio had the ability to read the hearts of his penitents who flocked to him for confession; he brought both devout followers of Christ and sinners closer to God. — Feast Day Sept. 23
