Edna Bentel has been painting throughout her adult life, wielding the brush for over 50 years. Working mainly in oils, but also in waterolours, acrylics and mixed media. Edna has developed her own distinct style, characterized mainly by the bold and imaginative use of colour. Her style can be described as being essentially expressionist, with a strong sense of colour that does not necessarily attempt to faithfully reproduce the subject, but reflects her own inner emotional response.
