A good pair of 18th century Georgian cauldron salts with beaded borders and standing on three hoof feet. They measure 55cm in diameter and stand 3.5cm high/ They were assayed in London in 1779, he maker's marks are rubbed but could be SW or S? or ?S. They are selling with two modern salt spoons for Birmingham 1906. These are appropriately sized at 9.5cm. Combined wight is 88 grams. The salts are in good overall condition, some minor compression on one foot, and a few minor pin-prick dents that do not detract. The spoons are in very good condition.
