These hand painted Meissen porcelain vases have been made in the form of a double handled campagna urn. The pieces have a cobalt blue ground and features a large white cartouche with an ornate gilt border. The cartouche has been elaborately decorated with a large grouping of colorful flowers and green foliage. The urns have a round pedestal foot with ribbed decoration highlighted in gilt paint. There are additional gilded accents at the rim, on the handles and at the side of the foot. The body of the urn also bears gilt bands.
The urns are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. They reach stand 135mm tall and measures 80mm across the mouth. The foot is 55mm in diameter and the underside bears the underglaze cobalt blue Meissen crossed sword mark along with the impressed factory numbers which include the number "535".
This lovely double handled campagna urn displays beautifully and would be a great addition to a grouping of Meissen porcelain. An elegant vintage find!
