Pair of art deco ceramic monk bookends. Although they have no markings, I would date these lovely bookends to the 1930s. They are black ceramic, and depict 2 seated monks leaning forwards. They measure 20cm (high) x 18cm x 11cm, and are in perfect condition - no chips or cracks. Great buy.
