PAIR OF VINTAGE BRONZED HORSES
Beautiful pieces on Ironwood bases
Use them as bookends or just display these beauties!

The horses are made of metal, possibly white metal and brass plated, with a beautiful copper patina on the upper parts. In some places remnants of the original shellac is still visible, lending an antique look to them.
These may originally have been mounted on marble bases, but they have at some stage been replaced with Ironwood ones.
Although possibly not their original purpose, they have been positioned for and used as bookends and as can be seen in the image below, they both face in the same direction.
They are in good condition but note that a repair has been made to the left front leg of one of the horses. This can be seen close up, three images down. The repair seems strong and is not too visible.
They measure about 19cm tall and the bases measure 21cm x 9cm.
Please have a look at the images to verify age and condition and please ask any questions you may have.

Any questions welcome!
