APOLOGIES FOR REFLECTIONS ON PICS
These beautiful and decorative Japanese Bronze Censers are very impressive (need a proper clean). They date to the second half of the the 19th century which is called the Meiji Era. They feature two beautiful Phoenixes as handles. The pedestal base has has a nice floral decoration and the top of the of the three legs have Phoenix heads. It also has stunning fauna and flora reliefs all around the actual bowl. Overall they are very impressive and heavy pieces (1.628kg and 1.625kg). I do not know if these pieces originally came with lids or not, as seen in pricing pic, as many censers do not have lids. Also One of the Phoenixes has been reattached. I have priced them accordingly, and any true collector will see their value.
PLEASE CHECK THUMBNAILS
Although I am a passionate lover of vintage and antique treasures, I am not an expert antiques dealer and can, on occasion, mistakenly identify items. I try my best and spend a lot of time researching every piece, as this is the passion that drives me - the history and stories behind each piece. Pieces may contain imperfections, as is common with wear and age. I select items that pull at my heart. Sometimes these blemishes add to the character and personality of the piece and I fall in love with it, flaws and all. I do my best to show and/or describe the imperfections that I find so you can decide if it's something you will fall in love with as well.
