PAIR OF VICTORIA AUSTRIA ART NOUVEAU PORCELAIN VASES c1900

DESCRIPTION:

A pair of antique Bohemian white glazed porcelain vases in silver plated mounts.
Each vase decorated with two bands of transfer-printed pink and yellow roses on
a black ground, with applied gilt bands and floral decoration. Each mount with
two angular handles and two bands of fasces (ruten bündel), on circular bases.

MARKS:

Victoria, Crown and Austria over stamped with a gilt rose, gilt number 102.
Mounts stamped: E.P.N.S. (Electro Plated Nickel Silver).

CONDITION:

Vases with no chips,cracks or crazing, extensive loss of gilt decoration.
Bases with a few dents, extensive loss of silver plating and some tarnishing.

DIMENSIONS:

Each vase approximately 20cm in height X 8.5cm in diameter at widest point.
Each mount approximately 27cm in height X 10.5cm in diameter at widest point.
