This pair of vintage flow blue dinner plates, each measuring approximately 23.4cm in diameter, were produced during the post-World War II occupation period of Japan, estimated between 1945 and 1952. They feature the classic "flow blue" transferware design, characterized by its distinctive blurred blue glaze effect.
Condition:
Plate 1: In good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or grazing.
Plate 2: Has a large chip on the underside (see photos); otherwise, in fair vintage condition.
These plates offer a glimpse into ceramic history during the Occupied Japan era when Japanese factories created products primarily for export markets. Ideal for collectors of Occupied Japan ceramics or flow blue transferware enthusiasts and Blue Willow collectors
