Palmerston by Philip Guedalla 1926

Hard cover which shows wear. Some white marks on the cover. 501 pages. Intact with lots of illustrations. A good reading copy.

This is Phillip Guedallas 1937 biographical book, "Palmerston". Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784 - 1865) was a British politician who served twice as Prime Minister in the nineteenth century. This detailed biography delves deep into the life and mind of this remarkably astute, vigorous, and candid statesman who managed to keep England 'on course' during the international visionary-liberal and reactionary waves of the first half of the Victorian era. This volume is highly recommended for those with an interest in the history of English politics, and would make for a wonderful addition to collections of allied literature. Philip Guedalla (1889 - 1944) was a British biographer and travel writer.
