The game centers on PaRappa, an anthropomorphic dog who attempts to win the heart of a girl named Sunny Funny by mastering various life skills through rapping challenges.
Gameplay
The core gameplay is based on rhythm and timing. Each stage features a different "teacher" (e.g., Chop Chop Master Onion, Instructor Mooselini) who raps a line, which the player then has to repeat by pressing the corresponding PlayStation buttons (Circle, Cross, Square, Triangle, L, R) in the correct sequence and rhythm, as indicated by a bar at the top of the screen.
